We understand your travel plans might extend beyond this time. Feel free to relax in the communal area until 8 PM. Afterward, we kindly ask that you depart to allow us to maintain a peaceful environment for all guests
No Smoking or Vaping
To ensure a fresh and clean atmosphere, smoking and vaping are strictly prohibited on the property. Violators will incur a penalty of SGD 500
No Visitors Allowed
To preserve the tranquility for all guests, please refrain from bringing visitors onto the premises
Keep the Common Area Clean
Please clean up any drinking wares, utensils, and cutlery after use. Your fellow guests will greatly appreciate it
Security Deposit
A SGD 50 security deposit is required upon arrival for the comfort and safety of all our guests. This can be paid via cash or credit card. Cash deposits will be returned on the day of check-out, provided there are no damages, towels and linens are clean, and all keys and keycards are returned
Room Rules
No eating and drinking
Except for drinking water, please do not consume food or drinks in the rooms to avoid attracting pests and keeping the environment fresh
Quiet Hours
Be considerate of others by keeping noise levels down from 10:30 PM to 10 AM. Please do not talk on the phone inside the room during these hours
No Smoking or Vaping
A penalty of SGD 500 will be charged for smoking or vaping in the rooms or dorms
Housekeeping
To prepare for new arrivals, our housekeeping team will enter the dorms/rooms at 10 AM to clean and change bed sheets of departing guests
Stick to Your Bed
A penalty will be charged based on our rate-of- the day on our website if you use a bed not assigned to you or take pillows and duvets from an empty bed. If you wish to switch beds, please visit the Front Desk and we will do our best to accommodate your request
In-House Guest Only
Anyone bringing non-registered guests into the room or dorm will be evicted without a refund
Conserving Energy – 24 Degrees
We turn off the air conditioning from 10 AM to 7 PM. If it becomes too warm and the fan isn’t sufficient, let us know and we will turn on the air conditioning, setting it to 24 degrees

Yes, we require a deposit at each property. The deposit amount varies by property, as follows:
- Rucksack Inn Singapore: 50 SGD (cash or credit card)
- Rucksack Inn Siargao: 1000 Pesos (cash or credit card)
- Rucksack Inn Premium Melaka: 100 RM (cash only)
The deposit is payable upon check-in and will be refunded upon check-out, provided that all terms and conditions are met and there are no damages or outstanding payments.
Night owls welcome! If you’re arriving between 10 pm and 7 am, please let us know in advance so we can make sure someone is awake to greet you!
Our hostels are open 24/7, so you can come and go as you please! Just remember to keep the noise down after 10 pm – we have sleepy travellers to consider!

Yes, we offer luggage storage facilities in Siargao. For our Singapore and Melaka outlets, we don’t have a dedicated storage room, but our friendly front office team will be happy to help you store your luggage temporarily. Please note that we’ll do our best to keep it safe, but we won’t be liable for any loss or damage.
- Absolutely! Our Wi-Fi is fast and free, so you can stay connected.
- For Siargao we went the extra mile as Wi-Fi can be unstable. We are using Globe Telco Direct internet and have installed access points in all rooms to ensure there is not one dead spot on the property.

Our Singapore properties have laundry facilities available for a small fee. Melaka and Siargao do not have laundry services.

Our pool hours are from 7am to 10pm, available only in our Melaka and Siargao properties. The pool in Siargao is closed every Tuesday for maintenance.
