Nestled in a charming neighborhood, our Tyrwhitt Road dorm offers a welcoming atmosphere for female travelers. The 6-bed dormitory is designed for relaxation and socializing, featuring comfortable beds, ample storage space, and air conditioning.
For those seeking a touch of luxury, our Siargao dorm with an ensuite bathroom provides the perfect retreat. This 4-bed female dorm is elegantly furnished, offering single beds with high-quality mattresses, and individual reading lights.

Check-out Time: 10 AM for Singapore and Siargao, 12 Noon for Melaka
No Smoking or Vaping
A penalty (SGD 500 / PHP 5,000 / MYR 500) will be charged if you smoke or vape anywhere on the property
Security Deposit
To ensure the comfort and safety of all our guests, we require a security deposit (SGD 50 / PHP 1000/ MYR 100) upon arrival. This can be paid via cash or credit card. Melaka will take only cash
If the deposit is paid in cash, it will be returned to you on the day you check-out, provided no damages are found, towels and linens are not soiled, and locker keys and keycards are returned
Room Rules
No Eating and Drinking
Except for drinking water, please do not eat and drink in the rooms to keep them free of food smells and pests
Quiet Hours
Be considerate and keep the volume down after 10 PM or whenever someone is sleeping in the room/dorm
No Smoking or Vaping
The same penalty (as for common area – see house rules) will be charged if you smoke or vape in the rooms/dorms
Stick to Your Bed
A penalty of (SGD Best Daily Rate / PHP 2,000 / MYR 40) will be charged if you use a dorm bed not allocated to you. If you would like to switch beds, come to the Front Desk and we will try to accommodate your request
In-house Guests Only and No Male visitors
Respect the boundaries of other paying guests. Any guest who brings males or other non-in-house guests into the room / dorm will be evicted with no refund
Conserving Energy – 24 Degrees
We turn off the air-con from 10 AM to 7 PM. If it gets too warm, let us know and we will turn on the air-con for you. We will set the temperature at 24 degrees

Yes, we require a deposit at each property. The deposit amount varies by property, as follows:
- Rucksack Inn Singapore: 50 SGD (cash or credit card)
- Rucksack Inn Siargao: 1000 Pesos (cash or credit card)
- Rucksack Inn Premium Melaka: 100 RM (cash only)
The deposit is payable upon check-in and will be refunded upon check-out, provided that all terms and conditions are met and there are no damages or outstanding payments.
Night owls welcome! If you’re arriving between 10 pm and 7 am, please let us know in advance so we can make sure someone is awake to greet you!
Our hostels are open 24/7, so you can come and go as you please! Just remember to keep the noise down after 10 pm – we have sleepy travellers to consider!

- Rucksack Inn Singapore and Rucksack Inn Siargao: 24/7 – You can check-in anytime and our friendly staff will be happy to assist you.
- Rucksack Inn Premium Melaka: 8 am – 10 pm – Our friendly staff are available to assist you within these hours.
Yes, we offer luggage storage facilities in Siargao. For our Singapore and Melaka outlets, we don’t have a dedicated storage room, but our friendly front office team will be happy to help you store your luggage temporarily. Please note that we’ll do our best to keep it safe, but we won’t be liable for any loss or damage.
- Absolutely! Our Wi-Fi is fast and free, so you can stay connected.
- For Siargao we went the extra mile as Wi-Fi can be unstable. We are using Globe Telco Direct internet and have installed access points in all rooms to ensure there is not one dead spot on the property.

Our Singapore properties have laundry facilities available for a small fee. Melaka and Siargao do not have laundry services.

Yes, we’ve got hair dryers and ironing boards available to borrow at the reception at all properties. Please check with our reception staff for availability. Because looking good is important, even when you’re backpacking!
Our pool hours are from 7am to 10pm, available only in our Melaka and Siargao properties. The pool in Siargao is closed every Tuesday for maintenance.
Yes, we provide towels in Melaka and Siargao; In Singapore, towels are available for rent or purchase.
In Siargao, you can indulge in a delicious breakfast at our café/restaurant, with options available for purchase to suit your taste and preferences. In Singapore and Melaka our properties are strategically located and have many breakfast options (Western and Asian style) available in walking distance.
No, we don’t have guest kitchens. But don’t worry, there are convenience stores and food centres near each property serving yummy local food at wallet-friendly prices!
